StorageMart operates more than 200 self-storage properties
January 6, 2020: StorageMart is in the Training magazine's rankings of the top 125 companies in the world for employee training and development. “Training magazine” is a business publication for learning and development of human resources professionals. The companies are ranked based on their excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs.
The rankings for the 125 leading organizations will be unveiled during a black-tie awards gala at the Training 2020 Conference & Expo on February 24-26 in Orlando, Florida. StorageMart is the first self-storage company entering in the Training magazine's ranking list.
“This is an enormous honor for StorageMart. None of it would have been possible without the effort put forth from every department of the company and the talented group in our training department. The buy-in and collaboration between departments to innovate and achieve new initiatives truly sets us apart.” Said by Garrett Harrington, the company’s managing director of communications and training.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on so many benchmarking statistics such as total training budget, percentage of payroll, number of training hours per employee program, hours of training per employee annually, detailed formal programs, learning goals, Kirkpatrick Level 3 and 4 evaluation and business outcomes measurement. Training magazine also consider a range of qualitative and quantitative factors for determining the ranking, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives, and the results they achieve.
“StorageMart’s training department upped its game with innovative content creation and delivery methods that engaged learners and sparked behavior change, while helping to move the needle on key corporate initiatives. The collaboration between the training department and senior leadership as detailed in the Training Top 125 application was particularly impressive.” Said by Lorri Freifeld, the magazine’s editor-in-chief.
Columbia based StorageMart founded in 1999, is one of the largest privately-owned, family-operated storage company in the world. The company is led by the Burnam family, who have been in the storage industry for four generations. It has a storage portfolio of more than 16 million square feet.
